General Policies
1) Returns
a) For full refund, item must be returned within 14 days with receipt. Item must be unopened in new condition; or if item is defective it must be free from any physical damage (i.e. water or impact damage). Defective items should be returned within 14 days with all original packaging and accessories to receive full credit.
b) Opened items (with the exception of software) can be returned provided they are found to be in like new perfect working condition. Open returns are subject to 15% restocking fee.
c) Software returns must be unopened. Opened software titles and Microsoft Windows operating systems are nonrefundable. If an open software item is found to be defective it should be returned with complete packaging for exchange of same title only.
d) All returns should be made to our store or sales representative within 14 days. All returns should be free of physical damage and include all original packaging and accessories. Any returns not meeting these requirements will be left up to the discretion of the management.
e) Items not qualifying for return to store may be covered by manufacturer’s warranty. Contact manufacturer for support.
f) Damage caused by improper installation voids all warranties.
g) Computer systems (laptop or desktop) are not returnable. They are subject to warranty against defect as described below.

2) Computer Systems
a) New Integrator computer systems are guaranteed to be free of defect for a period of 90 days. During the 90 days following purchase, any part of the system that is found to be defective will be repaired or replaced with the same product or equivalent. Any physical damage voids the warranty. Virus, malware and other software issues are not covered by warranty. The computer should be brought to the store or delivered to a sales representative. The computer will then be tested and repaired in a timely manner. If it should be necessary for a repair technician to come to your house or place of business to make the repair, there may be a charge for such service (Charge will vary depending on distance traveled).
b) Pre-owned computer systems carry a 60 day warranty as described above.
c) Product failure due to attempted repairs/upgrades by customer or non-qualified technician voids all warranties.
d) New Lenovo, Asus, MSI, HP, Compaq, and Toshiba computers are not returnable. Any defect would be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty, usually 1 year.

3) Repairs
a) Customer must be aware that due to the nature of some repairs, loss of data may occur. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform a sales representative or repair technician of desire to retain data and forgo repair if such is necessary.
b) Computers should be brought to the store or delivered to a sales representative for repairs. It is not necessary to bring the monitor, keyboard, mouse or speakers unless they need tested. There will be a charge for house calls (Charge will vary based on distance traveled). Appointment times are limited. Same day service is not always possible. Repair costs will vary based on parts required and time involved. Hourly rates (currently $30 an hour , $15 minimum) will be rounded up to the nearest quarter hour.
c) Any discrepancy regarding repairs must be reported within 48 hours. Computers cleaned of viruses and/or malware are not guaranteed against reinfection.
d) Any computer not paid for and picked up within 6 months of repair completion will become the property of East KY Computer Sales & Service.
